The Gadsden Times
Feb 11,1876
A horrible murder was committed five miles north of Warrior in Blount County, on the 26th ult., by a deaf and dumb boy 18 years old, son of Mr. William Kyle. He killed his aged mother, a sister about 30 years old and fatally wounded a brother with a knife and axe and then burned his father's crib. He is supposed to be crazy.

They lived in the part of Blount Co that is now Cullman Co.
