COPPER- Suddenly, on the evening of August 16, DRUSILLA, in her 43rd year, beloved wife of Cyrus Copper, and eldest daughter of the late John and Caroline Shearlock.
Asleep in Jesus, blessed sleep,
From which none ever wakes to weep;
A calm and undisturbed repose,
Unbroken by the last of foes.
Asleep in Jesus, oh! how sweet,
To be for such a slumber meet;
With holy confidence to sing
That death hath lost his venomed sting.
Asleep in Jesus, far from thee,
Thy kindred and their graves may be;
But thine is still a blessed sleep,
From which none ever wakes to weep.
Her funeral will take place from her late residence, Mount Carmel Cemetery, this Wednesday, at three o'clock P.M. Her friends and friends of the family are requested to attend. Carriages will leave Denny & Mitchell's, No. 65 South Broadway at 2 P.M.
