Mr. McAlister was a native of Asheboro and attended the old Bingham Military School and the University of North Carolina with the class of 1897.
He was a member of the Presbyterian Church of Asheboro.
Surviving are two brothers, C. C. McAlister of Fayetteville, and J. S. McAlister of Greensboro; and two sisters, Mrs. J. E. Carson of Charlotte and Miss May McAlister of Asheboro.
Funeral services will be held at 3 PM today at Asheboro Presbyterian Church.
Burial will be in the old Asheboro Cemetery. The funeral party will leave Forbis and Murray Funeral Home at 2 PM.
Pallbearers will be: Lacy L., Alexander W., and John W. McAlister, John W. Carson, Alexander M. Worth, and McAlister Carson.
