YOLANDA HERLIHY JERSEY CITY Yolanda Herlihy, born on March 9, 1924, went to be with the Lord much too soon on Friday July 31, 2009 at the age of 85. Her legacy continues through her 3 children, Agnes (Kelly), Elizabeth (Cuesta) and Timothy Herlihy, 6 grandchildren (Edward, Kerri, Judea, Alejandro, Suzanne and Timothy) and 4 great-grandchildren (Emily, Amber, Christopher and Nicholas). She also leaves behind numerous cousins, nieces and nephews. Yolanda was preceded in death by her parents Quirino and Agnessi DiPillo and her brothers Daniel, Frank, Frankie, and her loving sister Helen. She was also preceded in death by her 2 husbands, William Westgate and Timothy Herlihy. Yolanda was a vibrant woman who enjoyed cooking big meals for her family, completing crossword puzzles, playing "penny poker" with her family, winning at bingo and bowling with her close girlfriends whom she had known for over 50 years. Yolanda lived a majority of her life in Jersey City at the same home purchased by her father in the early 1900's. She worked at the Jersey City Medical Center for over 25 years. During this time, Yolanda also worked as a biller for a trucking outfit and cleaned funeral homes in the evening. After selling the family home occupied by 4 generations of her family, she moved to Bayonne to be closer to her family. Visitation on Sunday from 2:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m. at Migliaccio Funeral Home. Mass at St. Herry's, Bayonne on Monday time to be announced at funeral home. Interment, Holy Name Cemetery, Jersey City.
