WILLIAM DAVIS DIES AFTER LONG ILLNESS
William J. Davis, 73, residing at 2010 South K street, died at noon today at the family home, of complication of ailments, after an illness of several months.
He was born in Wales January 15, 1863, and thirty-eight years ago he came to this country.
Mr. Davis was one of the pioneer workers in the Elwood American Works of the American Sheet and Tin Plate Company. Mr. Davis was a highly esteemed citizen and enjoyed a wide acquaintance.
He was married to Anna Jones in 1885. She died about one year ago.
Surviving are two sons, Thomas and Jenkin Davis, both of Elwood, and one sister, Mrs. Alfred Davis, of Mansfield, O.
Funeral arrangements have not been completed.
