Passed away April 17, 2010. David was an engaging, compassionate man who shared a love for life, conversation, creating possibilities, nursing, and the company of family and friends. He always had a smile on his face and was willing to help whenever asked. He never met a stranger and constantly made new friends. People were attracted to his never-ending enthusiasm. David was born in Van Nuys, California on December 2, 1980, to David N. and Linda Lummus. He moved to Palmdale in 1988. He was active in scouting since the age of seven and completed the Eagle Scout requirements at age 15. he was active four years in the Highland High JR ROTC program and was a 1999 graduate. Nursing was his passion. He was very excited about his May 2010, graduation and the career possibilities of a Registered Nurse profession. He enjoyed providing compassionate respectful care for his patients. David is survived by his mother, Linda Lummus, and brother Matthew Lummus both of Palmdale; his maternal grandparents, aunts, and uncles, and numerous cousins. He was preceded in death by his father, David N. Lummus. Visitation will be held from 4 to 7 p.m., Friday, April 23, 2010, Services will be held at 10 a.m., Saturday, April 24, 2010, both at Chapel of the Valley, 1755 E.
