Her grandfather John Price Sr. wrote his will there 10 April 1780 leaving land to Mary's father John Price Jr. "I give and bequeath to my son John Price one hundred acres of land, be the same more or less where he is now in possession...Further, it is my request and desire that my three sons, John Price, Edward Price and Thos. Price pay to Samson Price ten pounds...when he comes of age and to my son Zacha's Price ten pounds...Proof of siblings of john Price Jr., Mary's father, which do not match family of John Price of Halifax County. Tax records further show brothers Edward, Thomas and Sampson as residents in Shenandoah County. Proof of siblings of Mary Price Rinehart found in Shenandoah County Deed Record Book X page 312. Proof of Mother Sarah, maiden name not given, in Shenandoah County Court Records, 1817, Account of the Appraisal of Estate and Sale Bill of personal estate of Sarah Price deceased.
