JOSEPHINE DLUGOSH SERVICES AT ORD
Mrs. Josephine Dlugosh, 70, a former Valley Countian, died December 3, 1973, in Seattle, WA.
Funeral services were hold Monday at 10 a.m. at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church in Ord. The Rev. Clarence Reisdorff was the celebrant for the Mass. Burial was in St. Mary's Cemetery in Elyria with Tom Lliteras, Maury Eiberger, David Eiberger, Dan Sasek and Allen Sasek as pallbearers. The rosary was recited Sunday at 8 p.m. at the Ord Memorial Chapel.
Mrs. Dlugosh was born March 12, 1903, in Valley County, the daughter of George and Mary Solak Benben. She was united in marriage to Charles Dlugosh on February 4, 1919, at Elyria. After their marriage, their home was on a farm near Elyria. Her husband preceded her in death in 1955 and since that time she had been a housekeeper for various priests in Nebraska. She had served as housekeeper for Father Reisdorff in Seward for 14 years. Since March of this year she had made her home with a son in Seattle, WA.
Survivors are two sons, Leonard of Seattle, WA and Raymond of Bodega Bay, CA; five grandchildren; one brother, Peter Benben of Chicago, IL; three sisters, Mrs. Verna Osinski of Evanston, IL, Mrs. Sophie Janus of Ord and Mrs. Elizabeth Greenwalt of Elyria. She was preceded in death by her husband, three brothers and two sisters.
