William Elmer Gardner's death certifcate states he is buried in Oakwood in Wilmington. There is a family plot, lot 270, however, there is no tombstone for William Elmer Gardner. The records for this cemetery were destroyed in a fire. Sarah "Sadie" Hurley Gardner, William's wife, was buried in Oakwood Cemetery, Willmington, IL according to her death certificate. There is no Tombstone. It is a family plot, but, there are only 3 tombstones: one for Julius and Ruth Gardner, one for their grandson, Charles A Gardner(son of Julius B and Hellen Gardner), and Roselle, Daughter of Julius B and Hellen Gardner.
