HOLLEY, Aubrey Gene "Tex"
Born Aug. 8, 1938, in Cumby, Texas. Passed away April 9, 2010, in Lancaster, Calif. He came to Los Angeles in 1953, at the age of 15. He graduated from Polytechnic High School in 1955, he then worked for his mom in her seamstress factory for several years. He worked for 2 years at the Mission Card Co. He had his own printing business Process Printer, after selling the business he worked for Gene Bliley Stationery. He is survived by his wife Sofia Holley of 38 1/2 years, and her large and loving family. His two children Robert Holley and Crystal Holley, sisters Doris Alexander, Ruth Leake, Barbara Leonard, Brenda Estes and brother Horace D. Holley Jr. When he was little his dream was owning a restaurant. He worked with his sisters and was short so they would stand him on a box so he could wash dishes. He always said "One day I am going to have a restaurant". That dream was fulfilled when he opened and ran Whoozits in Lancaster for the past 13 years. Viewing will be held at 9 a.m., with Mass at 10 a.m., Saturday, April 17, 2010, both at Blessed Junipero Serra Parish, 42121 60th St. West, Lancaster. Burial will follow at Good Shepherd Cemetery. Reception following at Giovannis. In lieu of flowers donations will be accepted at Whoozits or at the Reception, to help Sofia.
