He was baptised July 5, 1863 at Old East Paint Creek Lutheran Church, sponsors were: Uncle Nils Bottolfson and wife Maren Larsdtr, Johan Jacobsen and wife Anne Marie Jacobsen. It is likely the Jacobsen's immigrated with the Bottolfson family.
