Retired from the Louisiana Department of Welfare and a resident of Baton Rouge, she died at 6 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 6, 2004, at her home. She was 94 and a native of Soso, Miss. Visitation at Seale Funeral Home chapel, Denham Springs, from 9 a.m. until service at 10 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 8, 2004, conducted by the Rev. Mark Crosby. Burial in Live Oak United Methodist Church Cemetery, Watson. Survived by two daughters and a son-in-law, Marjorie "Bo" Starks and Maurine J. and Frank Magee, all of Baton Rouge; a son and daughter-in-law, Leslie L. and Debbie Jones; two sisters, Eileen O. Harrison, Memphis, and Ouida O. Edwards, Baton Rouge; a brother, Norman Odom, Baton Rouge; 13 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Louis Clinton Jones Sr.; parents, Leslie Clinton and Stites Ellis Murray Smith; a son, Louis C. Jones Jr.; a brother, Jack Odom; and a sister, Doris O.
