Businessman Bradley Dies at Age 63

Robert O Bradley, well known Fayetteville businessman, died Saturday in Lincoln County Hospital after a lengthy illness. He was 63.

The funeral was Sunday afternoon at Higgins Funeral Home with Eugene Peden officiating. Burial was in Riverview Memorial Gardens.

A native of Flintville Community, he was the son of the late Robert Lee and Bessie Durham, Bradley. He ws the owner of Bob Bradley's Grocery Store in Fayetteville for 26 years. At the time of his death he was owner and operator of West End Liquor Store.

He was a veteran of World War II having received a battlefield commission in the European Theater, serving with the 101st Airborne Dividion. He was awarded two silver stars, a bronze star and a purple heart.

Mr Bradley was a member of the Fayetteville Lions club for a number of years. He was also a member of the American Legion and attended the Washington Street Church of Christ. He was a 32nd degree Mason.

He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Ethell Campbell Bradley, of Fayetteville, a son Robert Bradley, Jr., of Smyrna, Tennassee; a daughter, Mrs. Sandra Allison of Fayetteville; a sister, Mrs. Robert Curry of Flintville; five brothers, Ray Bradley, Gilbert Bradley; Paul Bradley; and Mack Bradley, all of Flintville and Bert Bradley of Elora; four grandchildren ; several nieces and nephews.
