THURMAN HORTON HILLMAN
Services were held at 10 a.m Saturday, July 21st in Chapel Graves for Thurman Horton Hillman, 80, who died Thursday, July 19, 1990 in Gulf Shores, Ala. Interment was in the Daughdrill Cemetery.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Marie Hillman, Leakesville; three sons, Brett Hillman, Jackson, Andrew Hillman, Mobile, Ala., and Charles H. Hillman, Anderson, Ala.; four brothers, Samuel (Tete Bo) Hillman, Selma, Ala., French Hillman, Mobile, Ala., Rayburn (Tud) Hillman and Graham (Tennie) Hillman both of Leakesville; one daughter, Mrs. Phyllis Ishee, Laurel, Miss.; two sisters, Mrs. Roy (Pal) Hicks and Mrs. Robeert (Marteil) Breland both of Leakesville; sister-in-law Ellen Hillman, Gatson, Ala.; eight grandchildren.
Mr. Hillman was a retired Lt. Col. from the Army and practiced law for several years here in Leakesville.
Freeman Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. Published in the Greene County (Miss) Herald, 26 Jul 1990.

He had lived next door to my mother in the later years uintil his death. While in the Army, he formally studied the Vietnamese language.
His son, Charles Horton, wife, and daughter were killed in an auto accident near Lafayette, LA, 7 Jul 2000.
