Mrs. Sarah Reed died at her home in Anderson township Sunday, of general debility. She was 84 years of age, and most of her long life had been spent in this county. Burial in Blue Grass, with a brief service conducted by C. M. Bubeck.

She was a sibling to James, Hughey, Anna, Nicholas, Benjamin and Martha Hood. On the 1880 census of Clark Co., IL, Sarah and John Reed were living in Wabash township and her mother, Mary Hood, was living in their household with them.
