Grant, William R. (Bill)

"Bill" was called home from this world of pain and suffering to rejoice in the presence of his Savior on Saturday, January 27th, 2001. Bill was born March 1, 1943 in Parkersburg, WV to Charles B. and Anna Mae Grant. Bill owned and operated A & B Brake & Front End Services in Oklahoma City for 19 years, before retiring and moving to Porum Landing where he was an advocate for improving the community. Bill was preceded in death by his mother. He is survived by his wife, Charlotte of the home, daughter Tammy Lea Grant of Tulsa, son William Todd Grant of Porum, grandchildren Anthony Micheal Grant of Turtle, William Ryan Grant of Porum, and Anna Mae Grant of Oklahoma City. He is also survived by Mr. and Mrs. Charles B. Grant of Oklahoma City, Brother Charles B. Grant Jr. of Moore, sisters Patty Ann Barnes of Dodge City, KS, Linda Sue Ashing of Oklahoma City, and Pamela Kay Bennett of Overland Park, KS., a host of nieces, nephews and many friends. A memorial service will be held at Friendship Baptist Church at Lake Eufaula on Tuesday, January 30th at 2:00 p.m. Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society. Memorial arrangement are under the direction of Muckogee Cremation & Funeral Service.
