John H. Peach Dies In Decatur

John H. Peach, former president of Alabama State Bar Association, 75, of Decatur, died in Decatur Saturday, following an extended illness.

He resided in Sheffield for some 25 years where he was associated in law practice with the late Ed B. Almon and the late J.L. Andrews. Mr. Peach left Sheffield in 1931, later forming a partnership with John C. Caddell and Phillip I. Shanks.

Mr. Peach served on the state bar commission for a number of years.

In Sheffield, he served for some time as city attorney and was a former president of the Sheffield Rotary club. He was also active in the Sheffield Methodist church, serving as Sunday school superintendent for many years.

Mr. Peach leaves his wife, Mrs. Bessie Roberts Peach; four children, Thomas R. Peach of Montgomery, John Hill Peach Jr. of Alexanderia, La., Mrs. Charles Riley Hare of Birmingham, Mrs. George Herbert Jones Jr. of Decatur.
