Utah L. Barker died August 9, 1996, at the Apostolic Christian Care Home in Sabetha, KS, at the age of 79.

She was born December 4, 1916, the daughter of Jesse and Lizzie Mincher Wisdom, near Falls City, NE. She graduated from Bern High School in 1934, and received a Bachelor of Education degree from Peru State Teacher's College.

She taught school for 34 years in rural schools and substituted for three years in Kansas, Indiana and Florida.

She married Mel Brunner; he preceded her in death. She married Bill Elliott on March 8, 1981. He preceded her in death. She married Sam Barker on July 17, 1990, in Topeka, KS. He survives.

Besides her husband, Sam, she is survived by daughter, Nelda Kay Bochtelheimer, Port Richie, FL; brothers, Irvin Wisdom, Sabetha, KS; Leonard Wisdom, Sabetha, KS; sister, Neoma Eichenberger, Sabetha, KS; two grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and six step-grandchilren.

Funeral Services were held August 12, 1996, at the Popkess Mortuary in Sabetha. Burial was in the Seneca City Cemetery.
