(special thanks to Barbara Cox for the following obituary) from 23 and 25 Feb 1929 Jacksonville Journal and FL death record: Mrs Annie Silcox, 81, died at the residence of her daughter, Mrs HW Ford, Moncrief road, after a lingering illness. The daughter of Mr and Mrs Alfonzo King who were born in Monroe Co KY, she had resided in Jacksonville for five years. A widow, she is survived by a son Cicero Silcox of Gallatin, NB and a daughter Mrs Cora Gee Herring of Jacksonville. Funeral which took place at the residence of her daughter Mrs Ford on 24 Feb, Rev W Herring, minister of the Church of Christ Springfield, officiated. Interment in West Evergreen cemetery.
