John Bailey Passes Away. The Quincy Daily Journal, 11/10/1897, p. 7 John Bailey a former well-known citizen of Quincy, died last night at Carpentersville, Illinois. He was 60 [57] years old. The remains will arrive in this city at 8 AM tomorrow for burial and will be taken to the home of his sister [in-law], [Mary] Mrs. [Clinton] Easterday, 110 South 10th Street.
