Funeral for William Kenneth "Ken" Foxx, 65, of Decatur was Saturday, Oct. 13, at 2 p.m. at Central United Methodist Church with the Rev. Mitchell Williams officiating and Roselawn Funeral Home directing. Burial was Tuesday, Oct. 16, in Evergreen Cemetery in Gainesville, Fla. Mr. Foxx died Wednesday, Oct. 10, 2001. A native of Pennsylvania, he grew up in Ocean City, N.J. He went to Lafayette College in Pennsylvania, Wesley Junior College in Delaware and graduated from American University in Washington, D.C. He was a member of Central United Methodist Church. Mr. Foxx retired from the United States Treasury Department and spent many years as the Decatur area district commissioner for the Boy Scouts. He was also a Scout leader and Scoutmaster of Troop 16. He also served in the U.S. Army. He is survived by his wife, Pat Foxx of Decatur; two sons, Andrew Foxx of Decatur and William Foxx of Tuscaloosa; one daughter, Elizabeth Mabie of Orlando, Fla.; and four grandchildren. Memorials may be made to the Boy Scouts of America and HUGS Ministry at Central United Methodist Church.
