MR. BIRCHFIELD

VALLEY -- Mr. William Howard Birchfield, 77, of Valley died Friday, Aug. 13, 1999, at his residence.

Funeral services were held Sunday, Aug. 15 at 4 p.m. at Resthaven Memorial Funeral Chapel in Lanett with the Rev. Gary Henderson officiating. Burial followed in Resthaven Memorial Gardens in Lanett.

Mr. Birchfield is survived by his wife, Margaret K. Birchfield of Valley; three daughters, Delores B. Coxwell of Kennesaw, Ga., Keturah Ogletree of Huguley and Tori (Edwin) Williams of Roswell, Ga.; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Born July 12, 1922, Mr. Birchfield was a member of Huguley Methodist Church. He was a retired truck driver from WestPoint Stevens. Mr. Birchfield was former owner of Rogers Barbecue.

Memorials may be made to Hospice, 2000 Pepperell Parkway in Opelika in memory of Mr. Birchfield.
