RESIDENT OF GLADWIN COUNTYSINCE '88 DIES
Funeral services were held at the Church of Sacred Heart Saturday morning at 9 o'clock for Sebastin Huber, conducted by Rev. Fr. A. S. Baumann. Burial services were at Highland cemetery.
Born in Bavaria, Germany, December 6, 1851, he came to the United States in March, 1873, and located in Saginaw. In 1874 he went to Omaha, Nebraska, where he married Miss Regina BahmFebruary 17, 1875. Here they lived six years, when they returned to Saginaw.They lived in Saginaw until 1888 when they came to Gladwin county and located on a farm in Grout township known as the Henry Madill farm. In 1913 they moved to Gladwin, leaving their son, Wasta S. Huber, in charge ofthe farm. Mr.Huber died Wednesday morning after a long illness at his residence on Maple street.
Outstanding social events of Mr. and Mrs. Huber are the celebrations of their silver wedding anniversaries in February, 1900, their golden anniversary, in February, 1925, and their sixtieth anniversary February 17, 1935. He is survived by Mrs. Huber, three sons, Matthias J. Huber and Wasta S. Huber of Gladwin and Edward S. Huber of Idaho, and one daughter, Mrs. Henry (Grace) Price of Chicago, Illinois.
Those from out of town attending the funeral were: Mrs. Lawrence Tuarderer, daughters, Margaret and Walbaia, and son Aloysius of Chesaning, Jacob Pabst, Mrs. Carl Kessel, Mrs. Fred Danhuff and Mr. and Mrs. John Kelor of Saginaw.
