Mrs. Lafayette "Alice Faye" Hill was born to the union of Mosley L. Behn and Juanita (Barneta) Lewis Behn in Clarksville, Texas on November 4, 1925. She received her education and early religious training in her hometown.
In 1954 Mrs. Hill relocated her family to Fresno, California. She later united with Fellowship Baptist Church and was a faithful member until her health failed. Even though she was in poor health, Mrs. Hill still took care of her mother. She was a devoted mother, daughter, sister, grandmother, companion, neighbor and friend, and she will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
On July 27, 1990, God said: They all love you, my son, but I love you best and call you from the labor to rest. You have fought your good fight, finished your race, now come unto me and rest.
One son, Leonard Augustus Hill, preceded her in death in February 1990.
Mrs. Faye Hill leaves to cherish her memories: her companion of 18 years, Mr. Thaddeus Turner; 3 sons: Larry Brewer, Leroy Hill and Eugene Roebuck, all of Fresno; 4 daughters, Lillian Mosley of Inglewood, CA, Patsy Roebuck, Juanita Davis and Jacqueline Silagan, all of Fresno; her mother, Mrs. Juanita Behn of Fresno; her brother, Mel Behn of Fresno; 4 sisters, Rosetta Bills, Arneta Mack, Ethel Jones, all of Fresno, and Jennie Wesley of Inglewood, CA.; 30 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.
Pallbearers: Thaddeus Turner, Leroy Hill, Vince Silagan, Larry Brewer, Eugene Roebuck, Robert Burks. Honorary Pallbearer: Mel Behn.
