John W Allebaugh was the son of Christian Allebaugh and Anna Maria Franks. He was one nine children. He was born in Whitley County, Indiana where he was raised near his aunt and uncles and their families. John moved with his parents back to their family home area of Thornville, Perry County, Ohio. John moved back to Indiana and in 1879 moved to Bourbon with his aunt Maria Hupp and sister Sarah Keller. John was a member of the M E Church and passed at 31 years of age. John did not marry and had no issue.
