Death Claims Mable Harned.
Lawton Student Dies in Oklahoma City After Several Days Illness.
Mable Mildred Harned, 17, who made her home with a brother, Claude Harned, 1001 Lee Boulevard died Friday at 8:45 p.m. in the University hospital, Oklahoma City, following several weeks of illness of brights disease. She was taken to the hospital about a week ago.
Deceased is the daughter of James Harned of Beaukiss, Texas. She had made her home for several years here with her brother, attending local schools. She was a junior last year at the Lawton high school. She was born June 26, 1917 at Elgin.
Other surviving relatives are another brother Louis, living west of Lawton; two sisters, Mrs. Beulah Hughes, Pampa, Texas, and Mrs. Virgil Austin, of Lawton; Grandfather H.H. Kiskadden, of Pocahontas, Ill.
Funeral services will be held Sunday at 4 p.m. from the Beal Heights Presbyterian church of which she was a member. Rev. M.L. Baker, pastor, will conduct the services, and burial will be at Pecan cemetery under the direction of the Lawton Funeral Home.
