Aged Lady Passed Away Saturday Evening at Her Home
The death of Mrs. Olive Jane Pickett occurred at her home at 500 Walnut Street, Shenandoah, Iowa at 5:20 o'clock Saturday Evening. She was 84 years, 6 months old and complications due to old age was the cause of her death. The funeral will be held at the Episcopal Church at 2 o'clock this afternoon. The services will be conducted by Rev. Whitton. At 1:30 o'clock the Rebekah Lodge will conduct a short funeral service at the residence.
Mrs. Pickett was born in Chautauqua County, New York July 12, 1833. Her husband died about 30 years ago and she is survived by one son, Chauncey I. Pickett, who is employed at the Shenandoah Nurseries. Gale Pickett, who is a member of U. S. Navy is a grandson of the deceased.
