COLORADO CITY ~~ Mrs. W.O. Jackson, 86, of the Carr community, near Westbrook died Friday in Root Memorial Hospital after an illness of several weeks.
Born August 21, 1872 in Alabama, she married William O. Jackson there in 1899. They had lived in the Carr community since 1910. Mr. Jackson died December 26, 1955.
Funeral will be held at 2:30 p.m. Sunday at First Methodist Church of Colorado City. The Reverend Max Browning, pastor of the Westbrook Methodist Church officiating. Burial will be in Colorado City Cemetery with Kiker and Son Funeral Home in charge.
Survivors include three sons, Tom and Ted both of Westbrook and Holly of Colorado City; five daughters, Mrs. J.L. Stokes of Crane, Mrs. Alvin Byrd of Westbrook, Mrs. O.A. Ruffin of Colorado City, Mrs. John R. Hart of Salt Flat, and Mrs. Elmo Daniel of Coahoma; 17 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.
