Archie Adams Is Found Dead

A sheepherder found dead on the old Davidson ranch was identified Thursday as Archie Adams, 57, who for many years has been working on the range near Casper.

Mr. Adams was found by a fellow sheepherder, Roddy Finleyson. Both were employed by O. B. Forgey, who now operates the Davidson ranch.

About noon Wednesday Mr. Finleyson noticed that sheep Mr. Adams was tending were beginning to stray. He went to investigate and found the sheepherder dead.

Died Of Heart Attack

County Coroner W. L. Bustard said death was attributed to a heart attack. He said Mr. Adams had apparently been dead for about 24 hours when he was found at noon Wednesday.

Sheriff Louise Cooper and the county coroner went to the ranch, located about 10 miles south of Powder River, Tuesday to return the body to Casper.

Mr. Adams was born in Aberdeenshire, Scotland, and came to the U. S. at an early age. Funeral arrangements are pending the location of relatives.
