George C. Henninger, formerly of Tyrone, died at 4:30 p.m. June 5, 1964, in the Hollidaysburg State Hospital after an extended illness.
He was born at McAlevys Fort Jan 16, 1874, a son of Elias and Arima (Shadle) Henninger. He married Bertha M. Monger at Williamsburg Sept. 21, 1897. Mrs. Henninger died Jan. 10, 1959.
Surviving are the following children: Mrs Violet Flanagan, of Tyrone, Freeman of Sanborne, N.Y., Mrs. Agatha Armstrong of Buffalo, N.Y., Walter of Niagra Falls, N.Y., Joseph of Altoona and Mrs. Grace Liner of Port Matilda; 32 grandchildren, 67 great-grandchildren, eithg great-great-grandchildren, three brothers and one sister, Frank and Wesley of State College, Alvin of Pine Grove Mills and Mrs. Della Heberling of State College.
He was a member of the Steffy's Lutheran Church at McAlevys Fort, and was a retired carpenter.
