Married to Myrtle Mae Hall [1902-1986] and to Maude Lou Yeatts [1896-1940]. Father of two known children. Mary Louise Ard [1918-1985] was his daughter, and his son, Ben N Ard Jr [1922-1998], attended college in California after his father and mother died and got a PhD in Psychology. It appears that Myrtle Mae Hall Ard may have lived in California also and died there. Dr Ard Jr is author of several books relating to his specialty. [do Goggle search on books] According to the Baylor Round Up, 1915, Dr Ard Sr earned his B.A. from East Texas Normal College and earned his M.D. from Baylor Medical School in 1915.

Dr Ben N Ard , 52, native Texan, and a physician in Oak Cliff for the last 15 years died Tuesday at his home 113 N Clinton , after an illness of 3 months.
Shortly after graduation from Baylor University Medical College, Dr Ard went to France with the AEF where he was a 1st Lieutenant in the Medical Corps. He was a member of the American Medical Association.
Survivors include his wife, daughter Mary Louise Ard, son: Ben Ard Jr, sister: Mrs M Randolph. Services will be held at 10 AM Wednesday at the Chapel of Lamar and Smith. Burial will be at Pickton, Hopkins Co, his birthplace at 2 PM.
