Nancy married Henry Elwood Feb. 21, 1819. They resided in Herkimer county, N.Y. until 1840 when they moved to Onondaga county, N.Y. Henry died there 12/24/1850. Nancy moved to Decatur in 1855. Nancy was the mother of nine children, seven who lived to be grown, four of whom are still living. They are Daniel H. Elwood, Augusta, Kansas; David P. Elwood, who resides in this city; Mrs. Hubbard, wife of W.E. Hubbard, of this city; and Mrs. Everly, wife of Rev. John Everly, of the Illinois Conference of the M.E. church who resides in Bloomington.
