George V. Lewis Jr. 66, of Allegheny Twp. died Wednesday, July 9, 2003 at his residence.
He was born August 28, 1936 in New Kensington to George V. and Mildred L (Lasher)Lewis.
Mr. Lewis was an auto body technician for Devereaux Chevrolet in Freeport for 33 years, retiring in 1999.
He was a graduate of Vale Technical Institute.
He was a Navy veteran.
He was a Methodist.
His hobbies included amateur photography, hiking, traveling and woodworking. He was a life-long German Shepherd dog fancier.
Survivors include his wife of 45 years, Patricia A. (Barnett) Lewis; three sons, Randall L Lewis of Seattle, Michael S. Lewis of Buffalo Twp and David S. Lewis of Arnold; one granddaighter, Katherine N. Lewis of Arnold; and two half-brothers, Thomas J Lewis of Indiana and Alfred H. Lewis of Murrysville.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and his grandparents who raised him, Willis "Penny" and Catherine Lewis.

He was born Aug. 28, 1936, in New Kensington. A graduate of Vale Technical Institute, he also was a Navy veteran. Mr. Lewis was an auto body technician 33 years for Devereaux Chevrolet in Freeport, retiring in 1999. A life long German Sheppard dog lover, he also enjoyed amateur photography, hiking, traveling, and woodworking. Survivors include his wife of 45 years, Patricia A. Barnett Lewis; three sons, Randall L. Lewis of Seattle, Washington, Michael S. (Teresa) Lewis of Buffalo Township, and David S. Lewis of Arnold; and two half-brothers, Thomas J. Lewis of Indiana, Pa., and Alfred H. Lewis of Murrysville. Also surviving are a granddaughter, Katherine N. Lewis of Arnold; and Randall L. Lewis's companion, Ira Giffen of Seattle. He was preceded in death by his parents, George V. Sr. and Mildred L. Lasher Lewis; and his grandparents who raised him, Willis "Penny" and Catherine Lewis. Private funeral services will be handled by the REDMOND FUNERAL HOME INC., Freeport.
