"Mrs. Claire Galy Dick, 54, wife of Fred Dick died at the Biloxi Hospital this morning at 2:45 a.m. after a short illness. Mrs. Dick was (a) lifelong Biloxian, making her home at 628 Bohn St. She is survived by her husband, two sons, Fred B. Dick Jr. of Biloxi and Henry Dick of Biloxi, and three daughters, Mrs. Audrey Strocchi of Jacksonville, Fla., Mrs. Loise Paden of Cheyenne, Wyo., and Miss Pat Dick of Biloxi, and one sister, Mrs. A. J. Chauvin of Dallas, Tex., seven grandchildren and other relatives. Mrs. Dick was a very active member of the Catholic Church and other organizations particularly the V.F.W. Auxiliary. She was a member of the Sodality of the Blessed Virgin, Catholic Woman's Club, altar Society, N.C.C.S., and was a Volunteer worker at the Veteran's Hospital. The funeral will be from the O'Keefe Parlors on Monday morning at 8:45 a.m. followed by Requiem Mass at the Church of the Nativity. Burial will be in Biloxi Cemetery. Rosary will be said by the Knights of Columbus at 6 p.m. Sunday at the funeral parlors and at 7 p.m. by members of Catholic Woman's Club."

"To the surprise of their many frineds, last evening at the Church of the Nativity of the B.V.M. was solemnized the marriage of Miss Claire P. Galy and Mr. Frederick B. Dick, Ref. Father Alphonse Ketels officiating. the witnesses were Mrs. Honore G. Meaut, sister of the bride and Mr. Ben Dick. the bride is the charming young daughter of Mr. and Mrs. A. G. Galy, of this city. She will be remembered as a very popular and lovable girl and one of Biloxi's excellent basketball players. The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. E. Dick of Ocean Springs and an employee of the L. & N. Railroad. Mr. and Mrs. F. B. Dick left last night for Ocean Springs where they will make their future home."
