Mrs. Walter H. Reynolds, Formerly of Greensburg, Dies at Her Home in Liberty

Mrs. Walter H. Reynolds, wife of the Rev. Walter H. Reynolds, of Liberty, Ind., died suddenly at 2 o'clock yesterday afternoon at her home in Liberty. Apparently in her usual health until a very short time before she passed away, her death comes as a severe shock to a large number of dear friends in this city, where she lived as the wife of the minister of the Greensburg Presbyterian church for twelve years.

Clara Mills Reynolds was born in Norwood, Cincinnati, Ohio, Sept. 26, 1873. She and Dr. Reynolds were united in marriage in Norwood, May 11, 1890. Their home was established in Marion, Iowa, and from that place they moved to Omaha, Neb. From Omaha, Dr. and Mrs. Reynolds came to Greensburg in May, 1908. In 1920 the family, moved to Liberty, where they have since resided.

Surviving are the husband and two sons, Thomas, of Cincinnati, and Stephen, in college; the mother, Mrs. Edward Mills, of Norwood; sister, Mrs. J.C. Cadwallader; and brother, George E. Mills, judge of the court of appeals, Cincinnati.

While in Greensburg, Mrs. Reynolds made many friends, being "given to hospitality." She was the life of wit and Christian grace in any company.

To those who knew her best, the words of the writer of the Book of Proverbs, in speaking of the virtues of a good woman, have a peculiar fitness: "She doeth good and not evil all the days, of her life…..She looketh well to the ways of her household; and eateth not the bread of idleness. Her children rise up and call her blessed; her husband also praiseth her."
