Rombach Place Museum is located at 149 E. Locust St., Wilmington, OH 45177. This museum home was built in 1835 by Robert Wickersham. In 1855 it was purchased by Matthew Rombach and his wife Catherine. In 1856, Matthew's only daugher Louise married General James W. Denver and moved into the home with the Rombachs. In 1955, the Clinton County Historical Society purchased the home from Rombach's great-great grandson, David Rombach Williams. Housed at Rombach Place Museum, are artifacts from the Rombach/Denver/Williams family; artwork by local artists and artifiacts and clothing reflecting the history of Clinton County.
