Donald E. Adams, 74, 327 Willow, Payson, died Monday, September 15, 2003 at 10:57 am at Blessing Hospital.
He was born July 16, 1929 in Quincy, Illinois, the son of Albert E. Adams and Florence Haner Adams. On July 10, 1978, he married Betty L. Adams in Our Redeemer Lutheran Church. She preceded him in death on May 27, 2002.
Don was a 1948 graduate of Quincy High School. He was a switchboard operator for many years at the Illinois Veterans' home, and also owned Don's Radio and TV Shop at 1031 Vermont. He was a member of St. James Evangelical Lutheran Church.
Funeral Services will be 10 A.M. Friday, September 19, at the St. James Lutheran Church, Rev. John Recks officiating. Burial in Quincy Memorial Park. Visitation will be Thursday from 4 to 7 pm at the Hansen-Spear Funeral Home. Memorials may be given to St. James Lutheran Church.
