Robert Franklin Wilson, Dodson resident for the last 31 years, died at his home there Wednesday morning, March 10, at 4:30 a. m. His death followed an illness of several weeks. Mr. Wilson was the father of Joe Wilson and the step-father of B. B. Martin of Dodson.
Robert Franklin Wilson was born November 27, 1866, in Obion County, Tennessee, and at the time of his death he was 76 years, 3 months and 13 days of age. Both he and Mrs. Wilson, who preceded him in death on March 20, 1940, were active in the building up of the community in which they lived. For many years he had been a member of the Nazarene Church.
Surviving are two children: Joe Wilson of Dodson and Mrs. Paul Crawford of Lubbock; four stepchildren, Mrs. Irl H. Sanderson (Laura) of Alexandria, La., Bruce Rector Martin of Alpine, Burk Burnett Martin of Dodson and Jerry Thurman Martin of Dallas; eleven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
