Mrs. Hazel Claycomb

Mrs. Hazel Pearl (Bender) Claycomb wife of Charles Claycomb died at her home on New Paris Rt 1 at 10:15 o'clock last night Thursday, June 7 after a brief illness.

She was born near New Baltimore on October 21, 1885, a daughter of John S and Mary (Bailey) Bender. She was united in marriage with Charles Claycomb in 1906.

Surviving are her husband and these children: Miss Esther Claycomb of Bedford; Miss Cleo Claycomb, at home; Ruth, the wife of Foster Lehman of New Paris Rt 1; Daniel Claycomb of New Paris Rt 1; Ida Pearl, the wife of Admiral J. Frazier of New Paris Rt 1. Also surviving are 6 grandchildren; a sister Mrs. Rebecca Callis of East Freedom and a brother Dwight Bender of Bedford Rt 1. Two brothers preceded her in death.

Mrs. Claycomb was a member of the Pine Grove EUB Church. Friends will be received at the home after 6 o'clock this (Friday) evening. Funeral servces at the Pine Grove church at 1:30 o'clock (Eastern Standard Time). Interment in the Fishertown Cemetery in charge of Karns Funeral service.
