Funeral services were 11 a.m. Tuesday at Our Savior's Lutheran Church at Leonard with Rev. Paul Knutson officiating. Burial will be in Norway Lake Cemetery, rural Leonard.
He was born November 14, 1896 at Hayfield to Otto and Nickolina Westrum. He moved to Clearwater County in 1916 and married Bessie Lee on July 12, 1917 at Leonard. The couple resided in the Clearbrook area until 1940, when they moved to a farm near Leonard. The couple moved to the Good Samaritan Center in Clearbrook in 1985.
He is survived by his wife; one daughter, Arvilla Westrum of Bagley; three sons, Orvin of Clearbrook and Lawrence and Donovan, both of Leonard; 12 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren; one sister Effie Torergson of Clearbrook.
