Dixon, an resident of Olney and an oil field worker, was enroute from Seminole to Olney when his car left he highway. Investigators said the car funning along the road shoulder jumped a 35 foot culvert, landed 15 feet beyond it and did not overturn. He was driving alone on US Hwy 287.
Dixon's mother, Mrs. F.E. Dixon, who lives on South Avenue C in Olney and his sister, MRs. Chester Cagle of San Antonio, who had been visiting his brother, M.C. Dixon in Garden City, CA were enroute to Texas when the accident occurred.
SUrvivors are those mentioned and three other brothers - Wiley Dixon of Graham, Ernestine Dixon of Olney, Samuel Dixon of Seminole.
