Lester Chinn Armstrong, 87, of 2530 Sixth East, died at home July 8, 1975, after an illness.
Born July 7, 1888, Grafensberg, Ky., to Launta and Lydia Jane Ragan Armstrong. He married Emma Ethington in 1911, but later divorced. He married Beth Holmes Dec. 5, 1947, in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. He was a retired employee of Patek Supply Co.; construction worker; active in the LDS Church; member of Salt River Water Users Assn. in Glendale, Arizona.
Survivors include his wife; son and daughter, Vernon J., of Salt Lake City; and Mrs. Carl (Lucille) Taylor, Ogden; 6 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren.
Funeral will be Saturday at 1 p.m., at the Nibley Park Ward chapel, 2450 South 600 East. Friends may call at Deseret Mortuary, 36 E. 7th South on Friday from 6-8 p.m., and at the chapel Saturday one hour before services. Burial at Redwood Memorial Estates.
