Rebecca's maiden name was Powell then her first husband's name was Turner Laird. Rebecca was first married to Turner Laird Dec 1839 in Cass County Georgia and she had 9 children with him. After Turner laird died in about 1857 (probably in Texas) Rebecca married Frazier Vandalia Provence in About 1857-1858 in Texas (in either Wise or Titus County Texas). Frazier and Rebecca had two children together both sons, Albert M. Provence born in 1860 and John Monroe Provence born in 1862. When Rebecca died in in 1894 she was buried in one of the three Bethel cemeteries in Wise County Texas.
