RIVERSIDE SUSAN GAIL (PETERS) CORNELISON Age 64, resident of Riverside, CA, passed away peacefully with family at her side, following a courageous battle with cancer, on February 20, 2010 at Riverside Community Hospital, Riverside, CA. Susan was born September 6, 1945 in Chicago, IL. She was Clerk/Deputy Marshall, Riverside County Marshal's Office; Public Relations Director, Riverside Humane Society - SPCA; retiring from Riverside County Transportation Commission (RCTC). She graduated from Riverside Ramona High School and attended Riverside City College. Susan was a Coro Fellow; Riverside County Representative for the development and startup of Metrolink Commuter Rail. She was a member of the 23rd District PTA Board; Junior League of Riverside; Mental Health Assn. Board; Youth Service Center Board; Friends of the Library; League of Women Voters officer, Visiting Nurse Assn. Board; RCTC Citizen Commission Member; and many other organizations, activities, recognitions and awards. Of all her many accomplishments, she was most proud to be called "Grandma". Susan is survived by her husband, Jerry Cornelison of Riverside; daughter, Mindy Moore (Philip) of Riverside; son, Dr. Michael Cornelison (Nancy) of Los Gatos; mother, Jane Peters Lacky of Riverside; brother, Marty Peters (Barbara) of Burbank; sister, Terri Peters of Perris; 5 grandchildren, Natalie, Jackie and Haley Cornelison; Reece and Remy Moore. She was preceded in death by her father, Joseph Peters. Visitation 2/28, 4-8pm with Funeral on 03/1/10, 11am, both at Acheson & Graham Memorial Chapel. Interment to follow funeral at Riverside National Cemetery, Stage #4, 12:45pm.
