BLUEFIELD — Elmer R. "Henry" Shrader, 82, of Route 3 Box 635, Bluefield, passed away on Thursday, Dec. 29, 2005 at Bluefield Regional Medical Center in Bluefield.
Mr. Shrader was born on June 15, 1923 in Bluefield to the late William Henry Shrader and Lura E. Martin Shrader.
Mr. Shrader had been a resident of Route 3, Bluefield for all his life and was retired from Bluefield Supply Company where he was employed in the maintenance department for 40 years. He was a member of the Moose and Eagles Club.
Survivors include: Wife, Joyce Gregory Shrader of Route 3, Bluefield; daughters, Sylvia Hylton and husband Ricky of Groveland, Fla., Bonnie Miles and husband Sammy of Bluewell; brother, Lester Shrader of Brushfork; sister, Vergie Conner of Connecticut; three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 2, 2006 at the Cravens-Shires Funeral Home in Bluewell with the Minister Tony Reed officiating. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Memorial Park Cemetery in Bluewell where Sherman, Sammy, Roy, Paul and Mark Shrader and Jerry Shupe will serve as pallbearers.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home today from 6-8 p.m.
