Wife of: REV. JESSE LINN BOYD "J.L.B." DARNALL, married on Sept. 28, 1888 in Trigg County; KY.

OBITUARY:
Nov. 1918
MOTHER'S DEATH
Makes Five Victims of "Flu" in One Family

Mrs. Martha Darnall follows four of her children to the grave as result of epidemic. When Mrs. Martha Darnall, of near Linton, breathed her last on last Friday, five members of the family had become victims of the dreaded epidemic of Spanish influenza which now has practically all of Trigg County in its grasp.

From Friday until Wednesday of the week before four of her children had fallen victims of the epidemic, mention of which was now made in The Record last week. Several other members of the family who have been down with the same trouble are now on the road to recovery. This is the worse afflicted family from the disease since the epidemic struck the County.

Mrs. Darnall was the widow of the late Rev. "J.L.B." Darnall, a prominent Primitive Baptist minister, and was the daughter of the late Reubin Atkins. She was a splendid lady and always took delight in doing good to those of her neighbors and friends when distress or misfortune came to them and it is a great pity that the trouble that caused her death and the death of her children was of such a nature that it was impossible to secure help and assistance from those to whom she had ministered in the past.
