William James Adams, 89, Athens, died Friday at a local hospital.
The funeral will be today at 2 p.m. at Spry Funeral Home with Don Osborne and Hagan Cooper officiating. Burial will be in Sandlin Cemetery.
Mr. Adams was a native of Limestone County, a retired farmer and a member of the Pleasant Valley Church of Christ.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Elsie Brackeen Adams.
Survivors include two daughters, Ellaree Cooper of Center Star and Donna Kay Stinnett of Athens; one son, Ernest L. Adams of Athens; two sisters, Nora Brewer of Athens and Greta Malone of Pulaski, Tenn.; five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
