It is also possible Lura died much later &/or died in CT. Any information re: that issue would be helpful. As far as I know, no one has located her grave in Volney Rural Cemetery, but according to transcribed versions of old family letters, she was buried there.
Lura/Leura Bradley was born c. 1795, Litchfield, CT, to Rev War vet Elihu & Sybil (Grannin) Bradley. In approx. 1815, she married Philemon/Philarmon Hollister (1790-1869), a War of 1812 vet who likely was the son of Gershom Hollister & Sarah Abbott. They moved first to Georgetown, NY, then to Volney, NY, and had several children. According to transcribed copies of old family letters, Lura/Leura died c.1846, likely from a stroke. Philemon died in 1869 in Wauseon, Ohio, at the home of their son, De Witt Clinton Hollister.
Lura Bradley Hollister's parents, Elihu & Sybil (Grannis) Bradley, are also buried in Volney Rural Cemetery.
