In loving memory of Ron Eadie who died peacefully at his residence at Manitoulin Lodge in Gore Bay on January 15th, 2005 at the age of 76. Ron was born in Howland Township, Manitoulin Island, son of the late Charles and Ellen Eadie (McMurray). He grew up on a farm near Manitowaning (Budges). Ron's career took him sailing on the Great Lakes, and he was also employed at Inco and Ontario Hydro. Ron is survived by his brother Leland (Julie) of Brantford, Ontario, brother-in-law Norman Snyder of Southampton, Ontario, Russell (Ruth) of West Bay, Ontario, sister-in-law Katherine Eadie of Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario, brother Dalton (Mary) of Ayr, Ontario and sister Gloria Houle (Gordon) of Kitchener, Ontario. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Ron was predeceased by his sister Rita Snyder and his brothers Harvey Eadie and Floyd Eadie. Funeral Service was held on Thursday, January 20, 2005, at the Island Funeral Home in Little Current at 11 am. Reverend Faye Stevens officiating. Visitation at was 10 am. Spring interment in Hilly Grove Cemetery. As expression of sympathy, donations would be appreciated for the Parkinson Society of Canada.
