COLLIS, Marjorie Alley
1929 Ð 2010
Longtime valley resident Marjorie Alley Collis passed away peacefully in Aptos, Calif., with her family by her side. She is survived by her loving husband Pat Collis, her daughter Terri, son-in-law Greg and her grandchildren Ethan Dougherty, Matt Olaiz, Kristen Penn and her husband Ryan, Erin Dougherty and Lauren Olaiz. She was preceded in death by her son Tim Olaiz. She was born in Pomona, Calif., to Fred and Olga Alley and lived most of her life in Lancaster. She was a bookkeeper, worked for the telephone company, helped operate a ranch, managed a storage facility, was a realtor and worked for Los Angeles County. She was a member of the Order of Eastern Star and the Emblem Club #76. Marge loved to travel and had been to many countries all over the world. She adored playing bridge with her pals and loved to shop. She enjoyed attending USC games. She was a delightful lady and will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her. Graveside Funeral Services will be held at 12:30 p.m., Friday, February 19, 2010, at Lancaster District Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Santa Cruz Memorial Ð Mission Chapel, Santa Cruz, Calif. Any charitable donations may be made to Hospice of Santa Cruz County, 940 Disc Dr., Scotts Valley, CA 95066 in Marges name. They were wonderful to her and enabled Pat and Marge to remain together until her death.
